Build quests with AI

Connect your AI assistant to DigiScape and design a quest together: the story, the stops, and the puzzles, saved as a draft you can walk and publish.

What it does

DigiScape runs an MCP server: a standard way for AI assistants to use outside tools. Connect yours and it can read the DigiScape quest guides and sample quests, then design a quest with you and save it to your account as a draft.
  • It can read and change only your own quests.
  • It can't publish. You walk the quest on site, then publish it in the app.
  • Every save is checked: it catches quests with dead ends or no ending before you play them.
  • It can show and undo its own earlier saves.

The server address

https://play.digiscape.org/mcp
The first time you connect, your assistant opens a DigiScape sign-in page. Sign in with your DigiScape account and approve the connection.
Then start a new chat or session: assistants only pick up a newly added server in new conversations.

Claude

In the Claude desktop app (or on claude.ai):
  • Open Settings > Connectors, then choose + Add > Add custom connector.
  • Fill in Name: DigiScape and MCP Server URL: the server address. Set Authentication to Sign in now and OAuth Client to Register automatically, then click Add.
  • Click Connect, then Continue connecting, and sign in with your DigiScape account.

Claude Code

claude mcp add --transport http digiscape https://play.digiscape.org/mcp
Then run /mcp in Claude Code and choose digiscape to sign in.

ChatGPT

Add DigiScape as a custom connector (this needs developer mode, under the advanced settings of ChatGPT's connector settings), paste the server address, and sign in when ChatGPT asks.

GitHub Copilot app

  • Open Customize, then Add > MCP Server...
  • Fill in Server name: DigiScape, Type: HTTP, and URL: the server address, then click Add server.
  • In the list of installed servers, click Sign in next to DigiScape and sign in with your DigiScape account.

VS Code

With GitHub Copilot in VS Code, run MCP: Add Server from the command palette, choose HTTP, and paste the server address. Or add it to your .vscode/mcp.json:
{ "servers": { "digiscape": { "type": "http", "url": "https://play.digiscape.org/mcp" } } }

Cursor

Add it in Cursor's MCP settings, or to ~/.cursor/mcp.json:
{ "mcpServers": { "digiscape": { "url": "https://play.digiscape.org/mcp" } } }

Other assistants

Any MCP client that supports remote (streamable HTTP) servers with OAuth sign-in can connect with the same address.

Try it

Once it's connected, ask something like:
  • "Use DigiScape to design a 30-minute mystery quest at Fabyan Park for families."
  • "List my DigiScape quests and outline the newest one."
  • "Add a padlock puzzle to the second stop of my quest, with three hints."
Some assistants also list a Design quest starter in their + or / menu: give it your idea and it walks through the story, stops, and puzzles, waiting for your OK before it writes anything.

Before you publish

AI is good at story and puzzles but can't see the place. Give it GPS from your own photos or a map, then walk the quest: check every pin, every answer and every hint on site. How to build a quest covers what each step does, and the quest editor is where you publish.
To disconnect, remove DigiScape from your assistant's connector or MCP settings.
